Move With Me | Walking to 2.5 years
An introductory dance and creative movement program, specifically catered to our youngest students! Students will learn rhythmic movements; hand-eye coordination; counting music; stretching; and basic pre-dance techniques. Our Move With Me classes offer a chance for parents to spend extra "special" time with their child. Our goal of one-on-one quality instruction is essential for our students' development of self-esteem and sense of personal achievements.
Tuition: $10 per student (includes accompanying parent/guardian); 30-minute drop-in class. Credit card payments are not accepted for this class.
Pre-Dance | Ages 3 - 4.5
A fun, energetic and exciting class for our first-time dancers! Students will learn ballet & tap dance basics, establishing the foundations of dance technique in each genre. Our Pre-Dance classes also introduce creative movement & pre-acrobatic/gymnastic exercises, using music and props to help students discover their physical abilities and learn how their bodies can move and stretch!
Jazz |Ages 7+
Originating in the early 1900s , jazz dance has progressed substantially over time, perhaps becoming one of the most diverse styles of dance today. Today's jazz dance style typically coincides today's pop music; using improvisation, personality and body awareness to truly perform this ever-changing genre of dance. Jazz dance enhances flexibility and core strength. Jazz pirouettes, leaps + transitional steps are among the skills learned.
Lyrical / Contemporary | Ages 7+ / Ages 10+
Lyrical - A fusion of classical ballet with the freedom, fluidity, expressiveness and some aspects of jazz dance.
Contemporary - A combination of jazz, modern & classical dance styles and techniques, using musicality to create unique movements to specific piece of music. Typically practiced by ages 10+.
Flexibility, control & emotional connection are utilized within both lyrical and contemporary dance.
Ballet | All Ages
Ballet is considered the most artistic dance form, performed to music using precise and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Classical ballet is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements. Classes include the introduction to/practice of ballet dance techniques depending on level of previous experience, if any. Students will engage in ballet barre exercises, across-the-floor & center floor combinations. Dancers will begin to understand how their bodies move and elicit proper ballet technique, both physically and via vocabulary/definitions.
Tap | All Ages
A unique form of dance, using the feet as "instruments," creating percussive sounds & rhythmic movements with tap shoes. Students will learn how to create their own "music" using their feet! Coordination and musicality are taught & practiced with utmost precision. Dancers will learn & practice various styles of tap dance, including: classical, soft shoe, Broadway, hoofer and more.
Hip-Hop | Ages 5+
A style of street dance performed to hip-hop and current dance music, incorporating free-style and improvisation with clean-cut choreography and movement using the entire body. Hip-hop dance includes various forms of urban dance, including jazz funk, break-dance and more.
Modern | Ages 8+
An expressive, technique-based genre that branches off of ballet. Modern technique includes contraction/release of the torso, focus on proper alignment, musicality, and center work. Modern classes will focus on the techniques + history of modern dance pioneers including Lester Horton, Alvin Ailey, Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham + many more.

Tumble Tots | Ages 3 - 4.5
Our Tumble Tots classes will introduce our youngest dancers to fun techniques used to improve coordination, balance, strength, flexibility & rhythm. We will help your child develop positive self-esteem while learning fun, new skills! Students will learn basic tumbling skills such as forward rolls, backward rolls, crab walks, bear crawls, tripods & more. Students will also have access to equipment such as the balance beam, hula hoops & ribbon dancers to discover the relationship between music, movement and themselves. 30-minute class.
Broadway Bound: Musical Theatre | Ages 7+
Broadway Bound combines elements of jazz dance with acting and drama. Dancers work through jazz dance techniques while portraying a character and telling a story through their given dance choreography. Using songs from Broadway, film and television, this class allows each student's inner actor or actress to shine!
Rising Stars | Ages 5-7
A combination of beginner ballet & beginner tap in one 50-minute class, perfect for our pre-K through first grade students who are learning how to adapt to the environment of learning within a classroom. In addition to their ballet and tap instruction, our Rising Stars students also end each class with a creative movement, gymnastics or music/rhythmic activity. Students will learn basic dance terminology, body placement and grow within their gross motor skill abilities.
Acro-Dance | Ages 6+
An combination of gymnastics + basic dance steps, tumbling incorporates acrobatic tricks into dance choreography. Our Acro-Dance classes combine strength training, endurance, body awareness, balance, use of center/core, musicality and fluidity of movement.
Cheer Dance | Ages 5-7
Cheer Dance is designed to improve self-confidence, physical health, and teamwork skills all while having lots of fun! Students will learn dance choreography that incorporates short cheers & basic tumbling skills that are full of excitement and energy. Movements will include sharp, strong, fast-paced choreography ideal for beginner students who are interested in a unique style of athletic dance.
Technique | Ages 8+
Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance, from holding the body correctly while performing, to executing skills properly in a routine. Strong technique extends across all areas of dance, regardless of the style. These classes will include core strengthening, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility exercise for all parts of the body. Curriculum taught in these classes can be applied at home for every day practice. These classes do not participate in our annual recital.
